What To Do Right Now

1

Check the GFCI reset

Look for a GFCI outlet (with TEST/RESET buttons) in the bathroom, kitchen, garage, or outside. Press the RESET button. GFCI outlets protect multiple outlets on the same circuit — resetting one may restore power to several dead outlets.

2

Check the circuit breaker

Go to your electrical panel and look for any tripped breakers (they'll be in the middle position, not fully ON or OFF). Flip the tripped breaker fully OFF, then back ON.

3

Call a licensed electrician

If the GFCI reset and breaker check don't restore power, call (305) 331-3366. The outlet may have a loose connection, wiring fault, or need replacement — all of which require a licensed electrician.

Frequently Asked Questions

The most common causes are: a tripped GFCI outlet on the same circuit (check bathrooms, kitchen, garage), a loose wire connection inside the outlet, a failed outlet that needs replacement, or a wiring fault in the circuit.
